The OARC VE Team will be conducting a license exam session this Saturday, July 25th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Owensboro Airport Fire Station located at 2145 Airport Road just off the West Parrish Avenue exit of the U.S. 60 Bypass in Owensboro.
If you are ready to become licensed as an Amateur Radio Technician or upgrade to a General or Extra class license, here’s your opportunity! The Daviess County Public Library has all of the current license manuals if you need to review study materials before the exam.
Be sure that you have a FCC Registration Number (FRN) obtained from the FCC Universal Licensing System website https://apps2.fcc.gov/fccUserReg/pages/createAccount.htm and bring it with you to the exam. There is a $15 exam fee payable at the exam session. Check or cash are accepted (no cards).
Pre-registration is not required for the exam, but it is encouraged to make sure that we have sufficient testing materials. You may preregister by calling VE Team leader Bob Spears AA4RL at 270-302-8303 or Jim Mason at 270-315-8292.
